Serious Grit 3" hook & loop sanding discs are premium film-backed discs compatible with any 3-inch Velcro sanding pad. These discs are made for woodturners and work great for sanding bowls or other lathe projects.

We offer grits from 80 - 800.

Each box contains 50 sanding discs.

Mixed grit box includes 10 discs of each - 80, 120, 150, 180, and 220 grit.

What makes Serious Grit seriously good sandpaper?

  • Lasts Longer - the heat treated aluminum oxide grain is self-sharpening so you get an even finish throughout the life of the disc.
  • Won't Tear - rather than the typical paper material most sanding discs use, ours use a super strong film material that is both waterproof and very resistant to tearing.
  • Doesn't Clog - when your discs clog up with material, they lose their effectiveness quickly. Ours use a proprietary non-loading open coat zing stearate that sheds the dust before it has a chance to clog up.
  • Reusable - our hook and loop material is made from a more expensive 60% nylon blend which enables it to be removed and reapplied more times than the competition. This means no more discs flying off your sander and less money wasted.

These wet/dry discs are perfect for wood turning, bowl sanding, headlight repair, and any other wet or dry sanding.

    Our Secret Formula

We'll let you in on some secrets - here are 3 of the ingredients that make our discs so famous.

    Film Construction

What does that mean? Well most discs adhere the abrasive grain to a backing made of paper. Ours use a polyester film backing which is usually reserved for the highest end professional discs due to the costs involved but we bring it to everyone.

    Anti-Clog Coating

Our proprietary heat treated zinc stearate coating resists clogging so the abrasive surface stays cleaner and cuts more effectively for longer - especially on soft materials like paint, primer, softwoods, and drywall compound.

    Premium Hook & Loop

We use an ultra-premium 70% nylon material for our hook & loop backing. This ensures a secure hold to your sander pad, reducing slippage and preventing discs from flying off during use - even under heavy pressure or at high RPMs.

    Made To Last

Say goodbye to torn edges. Our discs are backed with a flexible polyester film that resists tearing, cracking, and edge breakdown—especially around hole patterns where paper often fails. That means fewer wasted discs and more time sanding.

    Flawless Finish

The polyester film backing is perfectly flat and won’t wrinkle or deform under pressure. That creates a consistent surface that holds abrasive grain evenly across the disc—so you get a uniform scratch pattern and a smoother final finish with less effort.

    Wet/Dry Ready

Paper backing swells and breaks down when exposed to water, but film stays stable. Our discs are built with a waterproof film layer that won’t warp, even in wet sanding or high-humidity environments—so you can sand confidently in any environment.
